You can print this at home, and play at the kitchen table with a pencil and a handful of change.
You will still need to read the instructions and follow the rules in this digital version.
You will need to manually flip and rearrange different numbers of coins, and clear the table after each round.
You will need to manually update your character sheet, using your mouse instead of a pencil.
We hope this inspires you to think about digital and physical games in a different way!
Good luck, have fun, and Happy Halloween!
Want to jump right in without reading the rules? Go ahead?
Want to declutter the rules and skim the basics? You can show/hide the examples + glossary!
“Flip or Treat on Wolfman Street” is a single-player pen-and-paper trick-or-treating game. You will play as a group of friends, venturing into the creepiest neighborhood in town on Halloween night. Together, you will solicit candy, play pranks, and avoid peril. Will you make it home with pockets stuffed full of goodies? Or will your friends be scared away one-by-one, scurrying home empty-handed?
As you play this game, you will need to draw on your character sheets using the mouse. You can click to add a doodle on any of your kids, and click on existing doodles to change the doodle type, (or erase them.)
You will pick 3 kids to form your trick-or-treating group.
Each monster will present two possible encounter types.
For instance, when you encounter the Goblin, you can attempt to Steal some candy, or you can make a Trade.
Most encounter types will require you to flip some number of coins. You can use the items held by your kids to change the results of your coin flips.
For instance, you can use Suzy’s Big Rock to remove 1 heads-up coin or 1 tails-up coin after you have finished flipping.
If you have achieved the required result for your chosen encounter, you will receive a reward. Otherwise, you may suffer a penalty.
For instance, if you Steal candy from the Goblin, you will flip 10 coins. If you flip 3 heads in a row, one of your kids will lose 3 bravery. Otherwise, you will be rewarded with two 1-point candies.
To gain candy, you will need to drop items to make room in your pockets. You are never required to pick up candy. You can always decline your reward and hang onto your items!
For instance, you can drop Willy’s Crystal Ball and Robert’s Remote Control to put the two 1-point candies in your pockets.
The bravery of each kid is represented by heart icons. When you lose heart icons, you must choose a kid, and cross out the specified number of hearts. If a kid runs out of hearts, they immediately leave your group. You will lose any items or candy that they are carrying, and you must carry on without them. Any leftover bravery “overflows” to another kid.
For instance, if you fail to steal from the Goblin, you can choose to subtract 3 bravery from Willy. Willy only has 2 bravery, so he immediately goes home, taking his Magic Staff and Crystal Ball with him. You then subtract the remaining 1 bravery from Suzy.
You will encounter 5 monsters in a row. After the 5th monster, your final score is the sum of all the candy in your remaining kids’ pockets.
For instance, in this scenario, you have 2 + 3 + 3 = 8 points.

Before: You may take this action before flipping coins in an encounter.
After: You may take this action after flipping all of the coins in an encounter.
+1 Heads: Add 1 heads-up coins.
Reverse: Change the result of a flipped coin.
+2 Candy: Gain a piece of candy worth 2 points.
+1 Candy x2: Gain 2 pieces of candy, worth 1 point each. This is worth the same number of points as the previous entry, but it takes up 2 pockets instead of 1!
Flip 10: Flip 10 coins.
Flip 5 and 5: Flip 5 coins, twice. You are successful if you meet the "success" condition with either set of flipped coins.
Frankie’s Spatula does not apply to Tails created or modified using other items.
You may use Pamela’s Helmet before determining whether your 3rd Flip would cause you to fail an Encounter.
You may choose to perform one, both, or neither of Robert’s Remote Control abilities.
